working with Bicknor Bears Nursery
A warm welcome to you from English Bicknor C of E Primary School.
Our website is designed to present general information about our school as well as providing you with news and information.
We are a small rural village school situated in the beautiful Forest of Dean, three miles from the old market town of Coleford. English Bicknor C of E Primary School is at the heart of the village where the children learn in a stunning, rural location. We value our close link to our local Church, St Mary’s; our Christian ethos and values underpin everything we do.
As a small village school, we are proud of our nurturing environment built on mutual respect within a strong moral and spiritual framework. We motivate our children through a rich and engaging thematic curriculum. Our dedicated staff encourage and challenge the children to become resilient independent thinkers with a passion for learning. Staff know all the children and their families very well; children receive excellent care both educationally and pastorally. We are an inclusive school, committed to ensuring our children are happy, healthy and successful.
We hope that you enjoy your visit to our website. However, we also welcome the opportunity to talk to both new and existing parents, so please do not hesitate to contact us on 01594 860367 to speak to the Headteacher, Mrs Hayley Alliston, or to Ms Lorraine Bonser the school administrator.
Ofsted Inspection, April 2015, awarded us as a 'good' school in all areas. SIAMS Inspection, Oct 2014, also recognised us as a good school.
We offer breakfast club from 7:30-9:00 and after school activities from 3:15-4:15. If you need extended childcare after 4:15, please speak to us.
